  1. Step One

    First of all, you need to download the QuickBooks file doctor application on your computer. If you already have installed it on your system, then it is recommended that you uninstall and reinstall it to ensure you have the latest release version.

  2. Step Two

    When the download is completed, click on the .exe file and follow the directions on the screen to install the application.

  3. Step Three

    It will get automatically opened on your system post-installation, but if it does not, click on the green wrench icon on the Windows taskbar or start menu.

  4. Fourth Step

    Now after opening it, you need to search and locate your company file with the help of the browse option. You need to use the drop-down list to find your company file in the list, if it is not there then please use the browse option to manually locate it.

  5. Fifth Step

    Now after this, enter the admin password to open your company file and click on Next.

  6. Sixth Step

    Then you are required to choose the host/server or workstation, please ensure to select the correct option.

  7. Eight Step

    Now you will be given two options, once you are prompted to share the company file:

    💠 Choose Yes: In case you are running the QuickBooks doctor file on your host/ server computer.
    💠 Choose No: In case you are running the QuickBooks file doctor on a system which is a host/server computer i.e. maybe your desktop.

  8. Step Nine

    After step 7, you need to wait till the time QuickBooks file doctor diagnoses the issue with your company file.

    If in case you are running the data damage along with the (+) networking option, then you may have to wait till the time the QuickBooks file doctor finishes its work.
