- Enter ‘command’ in the search field and the then press hold ctrl + shift keys
- Tap enter
- In the next dialog box select yes
- Then the next screen enter ‘regidit’ and move forward
- In the registry editor select the key which is in reference to QuickBooks error 6120 and you want to backup
- In the file menu tap export
- Select the path where backup has to be saved
- Enter the backup file name and then select branch in the export range box
- Save the file
- Once you are saving the file make sure the extension is .reg
- Now you have a backup of the registry file.
2. Solution Two
- Select the windows start button
- Enter ‘command’ in the search field and the then press hold ctrl + shift keys
- Tap enter
- In the next dialog box select yes
- A black dialog box will appear
- Type ‘cleanmgr’ and then press enter
- This will enable disk cleanup and provide you with the left over disk space
- In the disk cleanup box which will appear select the checkboxes which you need to examine
- The temporary files would have occupied the most space in the category
- Clean the data by select ok.
- Restart the system and the then start working on the software
3. Solution Three
- Select file > Utilities
- Stop hosting multi user access
- Restart system and start working
